Arrifes beach is a small beach placed in a rocky part of the Algarve coast. The sand area is small and near the water you have small pebbles. The sea is blue with tones of dark green due to the existing rocks.
There are three big rocks emerging from the sea which is a characteristic of the beach. This is a beach perfect for family holidays because is not so crowded and you can explore therocks with your children.
This beach is located in the area of Albufeira, but in a more quiet area, after the Albufeira Marina. Near the beach you have many isolated villas and some restaurants. At the same time you are vey near the city of Albufeira, if you like, a more touristic place with many points of interest, during the day and night.
This beach has the standard European blue flag which means that it has the standards for Environmental Education and Information, Water Quality, Environmental Management and Safety and Services. During summer period this beach has a permanent lifeguard.
If you are in EN125 you can turn to Albufeira to the EN395 and go straight ahead until it ends in a roundabout. You must turn on the first exit to the Av. dos Descobrimentos. After passing two roundabouts you have to turn on your left and then on your right to Estr. das Sesmarias starting to climb the hill. Then, you must turn left on the second road, another turn on left and then, in the endof this road, you have reached the car park, just near the beach.
