Rocha Baixinha Beach is long and wide, with white sand and clear water. This beach is right after the well known Falesia Beach, but here the cliffs have decreased and even disappeared. If you choose to go this beach, you must know that in the summer season it is a bit crowded. Because it is near Vilamoura, many people choose this beach which is very pleasant, well cared and organised. You can access this beach thought a short path from the car park. This beach is known for being frequented by local famous people and is considered one of the coolest of Algarve.
This beach is located right in front of Vilamoura, one of the most known/touristic places of Algarve. Just opposite this beach, you have the Vilamoura Marina where you can find some fine restaurants and Figo’s bar. But Vilamoura has many other points of interest like the casino, four golf courses like Millennium, Old Course, Laguna and Victoria. You also have top class hotels like The Lake Resort, Vila Sol Spa & Golf Resort and Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa.
This beach has the standard European blue flag which means that it has the standards for Environmental Education and Information, Water Quality, Environmental Management and Safety and Services.
During summer period this beach has a permanent lifeguard.
If you are coming from the EN125, you have to turn to Vilamoura and get the Av. Vilamoura XXI. At the end of this road, after passing several roundabouts, you enter in the Av. Eng. João Meireles where you have to go straight ahead until the end. Right after the gas station, you have to turn right to Av. Cerro da Vila and then, at the end, just near the Lake Resort, you have to turn left on the Av. da Rocha Baixinha. Just a few metres after and you have reached the beach car park. Then, by foot, you have to cross a small bridge after which you will get to the beach.
